INFORMATION FOR OUR GUESTS FROM OUT OF TOWN

When it comes to choosing your plastic surgeon, you should have options for those near and far from you. Patients travel nationwide to see our surgeons at Monarch Plastic Surgery and Skin Renewal Center. We hope the following information will help our out-of-town guests have a leisurely visit to Atlanta.

YOUR VIRTUAL CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT

You are welcome to schedule your initial consultation with us in person. However, we also offer virtual consultations to our guests from out of town if traveling to Atlanta is problematic when considering a busy schedule. During your virtual consultation, we will assess the area to be treated and ask questions about your medical history and surgical goals. You are also welcome to send us “goal” photos through Touch MD before your appointment to facilitate our understanding of how we can best serve you.

PLAN YOUR TRIP

The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport is the world’s busiest airport, offering direct flights from almost any airport in the United States. It is located approximately 25 miles from our offices. There are a number of car rental services and transportation services within the airport to assist you in your transportation to us.

PRE-SURGICAL APPOINTMENT

Once you and your surgeon have decided on your surgical treatment plan, our patient coordinator and practice consultant will contact you to schedule surgery and discuss other details related to your care. For most patients, we will ask that you have an in-person preoperative appointment with us to ensure that all of your questions have been answered and we have completed all steps necessary to take excellent care of you!

YOUR PROCEDURE

We will make sure that you are fully prepared for surgery ahead of time. Most of our procedures are performed as outpatient procedures at Perimeter Surgery Center.

POSTOPERATIVE TRANSPORTATION AND CARE

Some of our patients from out of town choose not to inform anyone that they are undergoing a surgical procedure. This can result in the patient not having a responsible adult accompanying them on the day of surgery. While we recognize this as every patient’s right, we must also ensure that each patient is appropriately cared for post-operatively. Each patient must have a responsible adult accompany them from the surgical facility to the hotel where they are staying. We are happy to refer you to several nursing services we have used. Don’t hesitate to contact the nursing service you choose to arrange for your postoperative care and transportation if you do not have a friend or family member with you after your surgery. This service should be placed at least a week before your surgery date.

If you have a responsible adult accompanying you throughout your surgical experience, please consider allowing them to attend your preoperative appointment so they will know what to expect during your recovery.

POSTOPERATIVE VISIT

Your first postoperative visit with your surgeon will take place 1-2 days after your surgery, depending on the procedure you had. Please plan to stay in the Atlanta area until that visit is complete.

NURSING SERVICES

Nursing services can be arranged through HHC Medical Staffing. Once you have scheduled your surgery and do not have a responsible adult to accompany you immediately after surgery, please call 678.571.7890 to arrange for someone to assist you as you recover. You may use any nursing service you choose, but please try to have this placed at least one week before your surgery date.
