Questions & Answers

WHAT IS POST WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY? +

After all the hard work you’ve done to lose weight, treat yourself to body contouring to get rid of loose skin so you can really show off the results of your efforts! Sagging skin following weight loss can affect any part of the body: the face and neck, chest, arms, abdomen, back and thighs. As such, we often combine multiple procedures to address the different areas affected by your weight loss journey.

A variety of surgical procedures are often necessary and are often performed at different times, in stages. Depending on which area bothers you the most, the surgery is tailored to fit your needs, starting with the area of greatest concern. Your surgeon will explain your options and discuss which combination of procedures may be right for you.

Common procedures utilized to address excess skin following weight loss include:

  • Gynecomastia or Male Breast Reduction

Weight loss can leave the chest skin deflated. Male chest surgery can restore the chest to a more youthful look, tightening the skin and repositioning the nipples.
