Will Botox make my face look frozen?

A conservative plan can preserve selected movement while softening a concern, but treatment necessarily reduces activity in the muscles treated. Placement, dose, and facial balance matter.

How do you decide between Botox and Dysport?

They are different prescription products and their units are not interchangeable. The decision should reflect the treatment area, movement pattern, prior response, and clinical judgment.

How do you prevent an overfilled appearance?

Planning begins with proportion and tissue—not a target number of syringes. A conservative or staged approach can reduce overcorrection, although no clinician can guarantee a particular result.

When is filler not the right treatment?

Filler may be the wrong tool when the concern is primarily movement, skin texture, significant laxity, or a medical issue that changes treatment risk. Sometimes another treatment—or no treatment—is the better answer.

What can be dissolved if I dislike the result?

Hyaluronic-acid filler can often be broken down with hyaluronidase, used off-label for that purpose. Sculptra and other non-HA products cannot be precisely dissolved in the same way.

How much bruising or swelling should I expect?

Redness, tenderness, swelling, or bruising can occur. The amount and duration vary by product, treatment area, and individual response.

Can Botox or filler replace a facelift?

No injectable removes excess skin or repositions deeper facial tissue. Injectables and surgery address different anatomy and should not be presented as interchangeable.

How do you decide which facial areas should be treated together?

The face is assessed at rest and in movement, including whether treatment in one area could change the balance of another. Combination care should follow a reasoned plan, not a package.

What causes an unnatural result?

Overcorrection, poor placement, unsuitable product choice, and treating a standard pattern instead of the individual face can all contribute. Careful treatment still cannot eliminate every risk.

How often will I need maintenance?

There is no single schedule for every patient or product. Each visit should reassess movement, anatomy, response, and whether repeating treatment still makes sense.
